Male Teacher Punished after Refusing to Oversee Girl Getting Undressed In Boys’ Locker Room

A Florida physical education teacher was asked to supervise a middle school female (who identifies as male) getting undressed in the boys’ locker room.  When he quite rationally refused, the school said his insubordination will not be tolerated.

The Daily Wire has the details. Chasco Middle School, located in the Pasco County School District, allowed the female student to have access to the boys’ locker room without even telling the boys who normally use the locker room. (If you are wondering, no they didn’t tell the boys’ parents either.) When it was discovered that the female was in the boys’ locker room, the boys who’d been changing unknowingly in her presence were embarrassed.

Many bad decisions were made to create such a mess. However, it is the rational gym teacher who is being reprimanded:

“With a ‘gag order,’ school administrators forbade teachers from talking about the change, and ordered a male P.E. teacher to supervise the potentially undressed girl in the Chasco Middle School locker room,” the letter says. When he refused to “knowingly place himself in a position to observe a minor female in the nude or otherwise in a state of undress,” administrators told him “he will be transferred to another school as discipline for ‘not doing your job in the locker room.'”

Ridiculous.  Apparently, the Pasco County School District implemented this new transgender policies after “LGBT liaison” Jackie Jackson-Dean came on the scene.  According to the Daily Wire, “The school’s LGBT best practices guide, of which Jackson-Dean was the ‘primary author,’ indicates that “transgender pronouns, locker room, bathroom, dress code, and sports access are a student’s ‘right,'” the report says. Additionally, according to the LGBT liaison, ‘schools have an obligation to not disclose the student’s transgender status to other students or parents unless the student has provided explicit permission to do so.'”

So, so, so dumb.

Imagine if you were that male gym teacher.  What would YOU do?  If he goes into the male locker room to supervise the female, that creates a super creepy situation for him.  Does anyone think it’s a good idea to ask male teachers to be looking at a biological girls changing clothes?  If he doesn’t, he might lose his job.

Talk about lose/lose.

But this teacher won’t lose anywhere close to what this young girl will lose if she doesn’t get the psychological help she needs.

This guy should get a promotion, not a reprimand.
