I’m not sure how newly minted Secretary of State John Kerry thinks that this helps America’s image in the world, but apparently he does. It is consistent with President Obama’s statements internationally that America is sometimes “arrogant.” When our leaders in the international arena project this sort of thing, what do we expect the rest of the world to believe? And while you might say it’s not so bad in the context of the story he was telling, the international headlines read that our Sec. of State said that “Americans have a right to be stupid.” Certainly, in saying such a thing, Kerry is exercising his own right to be stupid.
