Remember when adults read children stories? Of knights, dragon, princesses, and kings?Recently, “Read Across America Day” gave adults the opportunity to kindle children’s love of stories and literature. Instead, in at least one group of five year olds, they got something quite different. “I have a girl brain but a boy body,” one adult read to the class. Wait, what? What exactly IS a “girl brain?” What sort of sexual stereotype was this adult trying to shove down the throats of America’s school children? “This is called transgender,” the reader continued. “I was born this way.” Oh, so now everything is clear to me. The transgender community continues to push gender stereotypes down our throats – the same ones that feminists have long fought against – without any sort of cultural reflection or critique. When it suits them, leftists say gender is a fake societal construct. Then, they say it’s so important that surgery is required to alter it. It’s easy to see through their ideological agenda, if you are an adult. But children should be off limits in this weird cultural experiment. There’s no telling how many other children were subjected to such books of indoctrination on the day put on by the National Education Association and the Human Rights Campaign. Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins explained why this was such a damaging message for young minds: Encouraging kids to accept—or worse, live out—this kind of genderlessness is not only destructive, it’s what the American College of Pediatricians calls “child abuse.” “When an otherwise healthy biological boy believes he is a girl, or an otherwise healthy biological girl believes she is a boy, an objective psychological problem exists that lies in the mind not the body, and it should be treated as such,” the American College of Pediatricians warns. Not to mention, the physicians go on, that this type of confusion is a passing phase. “As many as 98 percent of gender confused boys and 88 percent of gender confused girls eventually accept their biological sex after naturally passing through puberty.” He goes on to point out that these leftists are getting increasingly bold as they try to recruit our kids into this child abuse. “As the head of a Toronto publishing company famously said: ‘I have come to indoctrinate your children (and I’m not a bit sorry).’” We have to fight this leftist, damaging dogma, before it’s too late for the kids. But also before it’s too late for our society to recover from this stilted, unnatural, abusive message that has been infused into our education, films, and music for the past few years. It’s time for this to stop.
