6 really horrible Obama scandals the media is hoping you forget

If you’ve heard it once, you’ve heard it a million times.

President Obama, for all his faults, ruled over a virtuous, scandal free Oval Office. Trump, with his free-wheeling ways, will bring who-knows-what to the pristine government over which President Obama ruled.

In fact, he said it himself.  “We will—knock on wood—leave this administration without significant scandal.”

This narrative — the one the media will try to make you believe as you watch the inauguration — is designed to lead Americans into some sort of political hero-worship…  an adulation that is not good for this nation.

Not to mention, it’s completely and utterly false. In fact, when John Fund and Hans Van Spakovsky wrote their article “Obama’s Scandal Free Administration is a Myth,” I marveled at their ability to limit the “major scandals” to just six.”

Nevertheless, here are six egregious scandals reporters want you to forget:

1. Benghazi.

Fund and Van Spakovsky write:

Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others were killed in the attack on a U.S. diplomatic compound in Libya. With less than two months to go before the 2012 election, the State Department falsely claimed the attack was not a terrorist attack but a reaction to an anti-Muslim film. Emails from the secretary later showed that she knew the attack was terrorism. Justice Department prosecutors even convinced a magistrate judge to jail the filmmaker.
