News broke last week that the Social Security Administration is seeking to expedite its backlog of disability claims by allowing employees of the agency to adjudicate cases.
There’s just one problem.
Those cases are supposed to be decided by independent judges—not bureaucrats on the SSA payroll.
“I would say the system is rigged,” one Senator noted in a Congressional hearing.
