National Guard members in Washington, D.C., have been told to be ready to assist local law enforcement in the coming weeks as an American trucker convoy heads east from California, hoping to duplicate the monumental protests that have taken place in Ottawa for nearly a month.

The Defense Department has approved 700 National Guard members and 50 large tactical vehicles to assist with any disruptions leading up to Biden’s State of the Union address on March 1. The National Guard will report to duty on Saturday, and is approved to continue until March 8 both in and outside the city.

Members are reportedly coming from all over, including West Virginia, New Jersey and Vermont, and there will also be a greater law enforcement presence with the help of Maryland State Police. The fencing around the Capitol has returned and the convoy has already been dismissed as “far-right.”

Press Secretary Jen Psaki, Pelosi and D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser have all said the situation is being monitored closely.

The situation they are so concerned about is a planned peaceful protest.

The fact that a high level of security is being brought to bear for a freedom protest is eye-opening because it shows these politicians would rather prepare for possible altercations weeks in advance than listen to the calls of the people.

The swamp most definitely does not want a unification of the people on the grounds of liberty to become out-of-hand and effective in the way the world has been watching Canadians successfully make a scene. A spotlight has been cast on the authoritarian behavior of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who has abused emergency powers and continues to use the police against the people.

The famous saying by Thomas Jefferson remains true to this day: “When government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.”

While liberty remains intact as the government fears the unity of the people, the government is preparing to fight back against the people, which proves they want those headed for the U.S. Capitol to fear the government, ultimately shying towards a tyrannical state.

What happens in D.C. during the next week will give us a glimpse of how the elite perceive liberty-minded Americans and how we can all expect to be treated moving forward in our democracy.
