If there’s one thing the radical Left hates, it’s having their narrative questioned. From the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, through lockdowns and “mask wars” and the unconstitutional imposition of vaccine mandates, we’ve been expected to unreservedly accept the Leftist narrative, no questions asked.I’ll admit, I’m not an expert, but when it comes to something as important as injecting an experimental drug into my body or expecting children to wear masks at school indefinitely, I’d at least like to ask a few questions. I’d at least like to do my own research. But should my questions or conclusions fall foul of the mainstream narrative, I can expect to be spurned, shamed and, in short, canceled.CNN’s Don Lemon recently articulated this elitist, “no-questions-allowed” ideology when he insisted, “we have to start doing things for the greater good of society and not for idiots who think that they can do their own research.”And unfortunately, it’s not just rhetoric. The ever-sanctimonious Left has confirmed it really does consider anyone who holds an opinion antithetical to their so-called “science” to be not just an idiot, but a dangerous one. Earlier this month, the left-leaning journalist came under fire for expressing frustration at what she called a “pandemic of bureaucracy.” In an interview with Bill Maher, she warned that the damaging mental effects stemming from ongoing COVID restrictions would be, “remembered by the younger generation as a catastrophic moral crime.” Not surprisingly, she was quickly slammed by the Leftist media, which ignored her emphasis on a possible mental health crisis (something Dr. Fauci himself had warned against only weeks earlier), and blamed her “childish” annoyance with pandemic protocols on white supremacy and misogyny. And then there’s Evangeline Lilly, the Marvel actress who was blasted for daring to attend a vaccine mandate protest in Washington, D.C.“I believe,” she wrote on Instagram, “nobody should ever be forced to inject their body with anything, against their will, under threat of: violent attack, arrest or detention without trial, loss of employment, homelessness, starvation, loss of education, alienation from loved ones, excommunication from society … under any threat whatsoever.”One might imagine the average American would agree with Lilly’s words, but, of course, they went against the grain of the Leftist narrative, so she was quickly “cancelled.”“Recast. Immediate,” one user tweeted. “They shoulda recast Letitia Wright [a Christian actress under severe reproval for questioning “what the vaccine contains and what we are putting in our bodies”]. They should recast Evangeline Lilly. Ain’t nothing THAT special about em. There are much more talented (and sane) actors out there who can take up their spot & make the set a safe space.” SEE ALSO: Stunning Popularity of Joe Rogan, Dave Chappelle, and Bari Weiss Prove that All Is Not Lost “We need no tolerance for this foolishness anymore,” responded another. It’s important to note that neither Weiss nor Lilly actually questioned facts – they questioned a narrative. Should young people be expected to abide by “Covid protocols” indefinitely? Does the government really have the authority to force us to inject a vaccine into our bodies? According to the Leftist narrative, yes. Both Bari Weiss and Dr. Fauci can cite a decrease in mental health as reason to be concerned, but the former is berated for it and the latter is not. Why? It’s not that the facts change. Again, it’s all about the narrative. One used the facts to detract from the Left’s narrative while the other used them to advance it.In the end, it doesn’t really matter what questions we ask, conclusions we come to or decisions we make. If we differ from that narrative even in the slightest, we have officially joined the ranks of Don Lemon’s dangerous idiots. But all is not lost. More and more Americans, like Bari Weiss and Evangeline Lilly, are proving not only that we can question the Left’s narrative, but we can also beat it. In order to do so, however, we must be willing to stand up and speak up for what we believe. If we do, it won’t matter how much the Left hates us; we can win.
