This is interesting. The Washington Examiner reports that patriotic actor Chris Pratt announced he’s launching a new production company to “help to bridge the growing divide in our country and word” and try to “make the world a better place.” “So grateful for each step of this wonderful journey,” he wrote. “I’ve started a company. Indivisible Productions. One nation. Under God Indivisible. Our mission statement is to create entertaining content, focusing on themes which will help to bridge the growing divide in our country and world. You know, make the world a better place. No biggie, you’re welcome, but it’s whatever.” Pratt doesn’t seem to fit the political or religious mold of other A-List celebrities. At the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards, Chris used his award speech to tell the audience that they are more than just bodies, that they possess a soul. He challenged them to be humble and to protect the weak. Finally, he ended with this: “God is real. God loves you. God wants the best for you. Believe that. I do! Learn to pray. It’s easy, and it’s so good for your soul.” He’s also posted photos on Instagram of him celebrating America, wearing a Gadsden flag shirt, and enjoying the Fourth of July. He’s told people that he participates in Biblical fasting, and said he believes God healed his prematurely born son. “We were scared for a very long time,” he said. “We prayed a lot. It restored my faith in God, not that it needed to be restored, but it really redefined it.” Though he didn’t say specifically what this new production company will entail, it seems by the title – which he thought of while he was at his son’s Boy Scout troop meeting – that it will include religious and patriotic themes. More power to him!
