In the past, liberals used to talk about abortion in the most sober terms. Though they have always supported a woman’s “right to choose,” at least they gave lip service to the fact that ending a life was a big freaking deal.
Remember how former President Bill Clinton used to say that abortion should be safe, legal, and rare? Back then, I had a question for Democrats – why rare? What’s wrong with it exactly? But they didn’t want to have that conversation.
Maybe because they never believed it in the first place. Or, maybe the culture has drifted so far off course that even philandering, impeached Bill Clinton looks more reasonable than his modern liberal counterparts.
Case in point.
Jameela Alia Burton-Jamil is an actress on the hit show “The Good Place.” When she recently talked about having an abortion seven years ago, she described it as “The best decision I’ve ever made.”
People responded negatively to her brag about murdering a baby in the womb, causing her to get inundated by messages asking her to reconsider her position. Here’s Burton-Jamil’s unbelievable response:
“Receiving THOUSANDS of messages about how I made a mistake having an abortion 7 years ago and how I must be a miserable person… I am in fact a happy, thriving multi millionaire, madly in love, with free time, good sleep and a wonderful career and life,” she tweeted. “But thanks for checking.”
You really have to see the tweet to believe it. There’s something about the hair flipping GIF that accentuates its crassness:

This is where the modern left is now. If you don’t bow down to the god of abortion, there’s no room for you in their ranks.
At least they used to pretend killing a baby was a big deal. Now, apparently, murder is worth it if it makes you pretty and rich.
