For years, the Left has actively depicted conservatives as moral scolds. Remember the old Saturday Night Live skit featuring “The Church Lady?” That’s basically how every Democrat ever has tried to characterize every conservative since the 1960s. But the tide has certainly turned. Now, the progressive left has turned full circle. Gone are the free-wheeling days of the Age of Aquarius where tie-dyed progressive preached about how “anything goes.” Meet a modern progressive and you’ll certainly be told within minutes how what you’re doing is inadequate or even evil. Chris Pratt learned this the hard way. He recently posted a photo of him at the gym on Instagram. The only problem? He was holding a – gasp! – plastic water bottle. His pal Jason Momoa scolded him under the photo. “Bro i love you but wtf on the water bottle. no single use plastic. come on,” he wrote. The Hill has the story: Pratt apologized in response saying, “Aquaman! You’re completely right. Dammit. I always carry my big gallon size reusable water jug with me too. I even had it that day!!!” Imagine having to provide an alibi on whether you did or did not bring a gallon size bottle to the gym. “Love you too buddy,” Pratt added in his reply. “My bad. I don’t want your home of Atlantis covered in plastic. Hear that kids? Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.” That seems a little extreme, but it didn’t even end there. Momoa then advised Pratt to create a business selling reusable water bottles! Yes, really: Momoa then posted his own Instagram photo of himself and his children with Pratt apologizing for how his comment came across. “I’m sorry this was received so badly today I didn’t mean for that to happen,” he wrote. “I’m just very passionate about this single use plastic epidemic. the plastic water bottles have to stop i hope u make a reusable water bottle for amazon so we all can purchase.” Modern liberals show the Puritans got a bad rap.
