VA Law Enforcement and Citizens Will Not Comply with ‘Unconstitutional’ Gun Control Laws

Seeing Americans use their First Amendment rights to protect their Second Amendment right is just beautiful.

It’s happening right now in Virginia as thousands of Americans gathered outside their state capitol to protest gun control bills pushed through by the state’s Democrat-majority state legislature and backed by liberal Governor Ralph Northam.

“The three bills that made it through include a law that will allow local authorities to ban weapons from public spaces during some events, another that limits handgun purchases to one a month, and a law requiring background checks for all firearm purchases,” The Daily Wire reported last week.

Even local law enforcement is not going to sit idly by while their rights are taken away by politicians.  Sheriff Richard Vaughan of Grayson County, Virginia said, “If the bills go through as proposed, they will not be enforced,” Mr. Vaughan said on camera. “They’re unconstitutional. We swore to uphold the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of Virginia, and that’s what we’ll do.”

What his unequivocal statement here:

Of course, liberals on social media are decrying this protest.  Though they never denounce the violence, arson, and chaos sewn by Antifa, they freak out over right-of-center making their peaceful opinions known.  They claim that this – of course – is a potentially violent protest full of racists.  However, watch this interview with an African American gun owner, holding a sign that says “we will not comply.”

I can’t believe how well-spoken and persuasive this guy right on the spot.  In one interview he completely devastated all of the hand-wringing of the left and completely undermines the Left’s narrative.

As the protests go on, gun sales are through the roof, according to Fox News:

Virginia’s monthly gun sales jumped in December and nearly surpassed the highest number of transactions recorded in the last 30 years, according to preliminary data, as gun-rights activists rally at the state capital. Estimated firearm sales added up to 73,849 last month, according to WHSV. That’s almost as many sales as in 2012 when sales hit 75,120, the highest level seen since the data was first collected in 1990, according to The Associated Press.

I love seeing Americans draw a line in the sand and say “no more” to politicians bent on taking away our freedoms.
