Celebration of Life: Football Announcer Reveals that Ohio State Football Star Was Almost Aborted

You don’t expect to hear a pro-life story while watching college football, but that’s exactly what happened on Saturday during the Ohio State-Michigan game.

Fox announcer Gus Johnson told a story about Ohio State star J.K. Dobbins, describing him as a “miracle baby” who narrowly escaped being death in utero by his mother.

“J.K. Dobbins’ mom, Mya, became pregnant when she was 18 years old,” he explained, right after Dobbins scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter. “She went to the doctor because she was thinking about aborting the baby but changed her mind. That baby turned out to be that young man — J.K. Dobbins, who she calls her ‘miracle baby.’”

What a touching, poignant story – and a reminder that life, even if it’s inconvenient, still has immeasurable value.
