6 ads that made sure the Super Bowl was VERY political

Everyone anticipated Sunday night’s Super Bowl to be a very politically charged event, especially with Lady Gaga performing at halftime. But as it turned out, it was pretty tame.

Except for the advertisers. They made sure the evening wasn’t completely free of politics.

Below are 6 ads that “went there” — anything from immigration all the way to making fun of the president’s hair.

1. Coca-Cola’s multi-lingual “America the Beautiful”

This was a pre-game ad and also a re-run of a three-year-old commercial for the soda company, but it set the stage for things to come. The ad is titled “It’s Beautiful” and features the patriotic song America the Beautiful sung in English, Hindi, Arabic, and even Tagalog. Did Coca-Cola decide to throw this one back in circulation to make a statement against President Trump’s so-called “Muslim ban?”
