This is not a partisan issue.  DC is booming in every way as the rest of the country suffers.  The politicians, the lobbyists and the consultants are getting richer and richer.  Seven out of the top ten most prosperous counties in the United States surround DC.  And yet even in DC itself, the income disparity is staggering.  Prosperity?  Little people need not apply.  It’s only for the connected.

Tonight (9 p.m. Eastern) on the Fox News Channel, they are running a special called “Boomtown.”   Hosted by Peter Schweitzer, author of “Throw Them All Out,” promises to show us the ugly underbelly of the prosperous, imperial city, Washington, DC.  He’s credibly attacked cronyism on both sides for a long time now.  So even if you aren’t a fan of Fox News, this is one you should watch.  Hey…I watch ’em all!
