Citizens for Self-Governance Senior Fellow for Constitutional Studies and the head of the Convention of States Project, Michael Farris, will be a keynote speaker at the upcoming Life Changes. Be Ready! Preparedness and Gun Expo. Professor Farris’ speech, “How We can Use the Power of the States to Stop the Abusive Power of Washington DC” is scheduled at 10:45am on Saturday, November 2nd. The “Life Changes. Be Ready!” expo extends from Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon and will be held at the Lakeland Center in Lakeland, Florida. The 2nd such expo this year in Florida, this event is expected to draw several thousand people. The slate of speakers is excellent and, besides Convention of States, the topics include: “Self Defense in Florida after the Zimmerman Case” (Jon H. Gutmacher) “Preparing for Hyperinflation and Establishing Plan B Income Strategies” (Kirk Elliott, PhD) “Survival Medicine” (Dr. Joe Bones and Nurse Amy) “The Edible Landscape” (Tom MacCubbin) “Preparedness in Central Florida — How Threats and Preparations Will Differ From Other Regions” (James Wesley, Rawles) “Americans Uniting to Save the American Dream (Lou Marin) “A Bold Blueprint to Rebuild American through the Power of Small Business” (Steve Olds) “Security for the Prepper” and “Forming a Survival Group and a Preparedness Community” (David Kobler, keynote speaker) The promotor of the the expo, Fortress Management Group, Inc, will also host a Round Table Session for leaders of conservative grassroots organizations across the state of Florida.
