There is an interminable debate between the left and the right about whether or not any significant electoral fraud exists in this country.    Having recently finished John Fund’s latest book, “Who’s Counting?”, I can comfortably say that significant, proven voter fraud does exist in this country.  Fund is no hack journalist trying to score political points for the Republican establishment.  He was a long-time weekly columnist for the Wall Street Journal, and regularly appears in print, on radio and television throughout the country.  He currently serves as Senior Editor for American Spectator, and appears regularly as a contributor to the National Review Online.   He’s been writing about our electoral system for a long time, and has as good an understanding of its strengths and weaknesses as any journalist in the nation.

So, assuming that some level of electoral fraud exists, what can we as citizens do about it?  We can participate in the systems designed to protect us from fraud.  We can work the polls.  And we can serve as poll watchers and in the case of Chicago, we can be election judges.  In Cook County, IL, a group of citizens are stepping up to do just that.  In a city notable for its corrupt politics, one woman, Sheron Meroni, has launched a crusade to make sure that every election judge position that is reserved for a Republican is actually filled by a Republican.  Apparently, the positions rarely get filled by Republicans.

According to a report at Breitbart.com, “Typically in the past, the deadline for judges to apply passes and the remaining spots are filled with more Democrat judges, leaving one party in control of hundreds of poling places without any check and balance against irregularities and fraud.”  But not this year, thanks to a citizen activist.  One person, digging in and making a difference on an important issue.

Democrat or Republican, it could be you; step up and make a difference in your local elections today.

If you’re interested in being an election judge in Cook County, IL and you are a resident who is a registered Republican, you can apply to be an Election Judge by going to the website www.ElectionJudges.US and clicking on the Cook County button. You can also call 312-242-1818.  Good luck!
