I am really glad to see that the Democrats are taking a stand against the crassness of President Donald Trump.  The latest example of this is when Democratic Presidential hopeful Rep. Beto O’Rourke ((D-TX) appeared on CNN and dropped the “f word.” He is now so proud of it he’s adopted it as a campaign slogan.

Yes, really.

When talking about the recent spate of gun violence, he said, “Not sure how many gunmen, not sure how many people have been shot, don’t know how many people have been killed, the conditions of those who have survived. Don’t know what the motivation is, do not yet know the firearms that were used or how they acquired them, but we do know, this is f-cked up.”

The audience, probably surprised to hear such language from a Presidential hopeful, laughed and cheered.  According to the Daily Wire, this caused O’Rourke to post it to Twitter and slap it on a tee shirt.

Well, that’s certainly an alternative campaign slogan to “Make America Great Again.”

Later, he appeared on CNN to defend his crass language.  This time, however, he decided to make fun of religion and prayers as well.  Might as well, right?  In speaking of “gun violence,” he said:

“The rhetoric that we’ve used, the ‘thoughts and prayers’ that you just referred to, it has done nothing to stop the epidemic of gun violence, to protect our kids, our families, our fellow Americans in public places,” O’Rourke said while appearing on CNN Sunday. “So yes, this is f-cked up, and if we don’t call it out for what it is, if we’re not able to speak clearly, if we’re not able to act decisively, then we will continue to have this kind of bloodshed in America. I cannot accept that, and so we’re going to speak as defiantly and as strongly as we can, but we’re also going to take action – universal background checks, red flag laws, an end to the sales of weapons of war and buying those AK-47s and AR-15s back so that they cannot be used against our fellow Americans.”

Well, there ya have it.  We have a so-called political leader so desperate for attention that he’ll resort to disgusting language in order to appeal to voters who want a better and more “moral” president than our current one.

Does this make any sense to anyone?

Here’s what most Americans know.

Prayers work.  Faith is important.  And crass language doesn’t make the inaccurate points you are peddling more accurate.
